Winter
often brings a variety of challenges to our health. The
Black Radish & Parsley combination is meant to help
you fight back. In traditional folk herbalism, both herbs
are treasured for their ability to maintain healthy fluid
and mucus secretion, sooth the lungs, throat, & nose,
and help fight infection. Many systems of holistic healing
feel that mucus accumulations result from poor digestion
and sluggish elimination, creating a backlog of daily
living toxins.

D-Mannose
is a simple sugar found in foods and drinks such as cranberry
juice. D-Mannose attaches its self to E. coli, which causes
90% of urinary tract infections in the US, and causes the
E. coli to lose its grip on the tract wall. Flushing out
the infectious bacteria the next time you urinate. U-Trac
is easy to use and tastes good, which can help when treating
children.
The statements made above are not intended to diagnose or
cure any condition you may have. The manufacturer of this
product makes no claims for a cure to infections in the
urinary tract.
Ingredients:
D-Mannose
Quantity:
50 grams

Many
systems of traditional healing feel the kidneys are an
important part of our detoxification system. Folk herbalism
suggests that the kidneys play a key part in removing
impurities in the blood. When the kidneys, liver and bowels
are not working efficiently and in harmony with one another,
toxic blood conditions arise, according to this philosophy.
From this perspective, herbs that promote urination cleanse
toxins from the kidneys and from the blood (via the kidneys).
Folk healers also frequently advocate this type of regimen
for those with weak kidneys or urinary infections, along
with appropriate medical supervision.
Ingredients:
Echinacea Root, Hydrangea Root, Parsley Root, and
Parsley Leaves
Quantity:
100 capsules per bottle. 425 mg of the combination per
capsule.

The
Importance of Cleansing
The
Kidneys and Adrenal Glands
By
Jason Drew
| |
For
those who have had chronic problems with urinary tract
infections, kidney pain, kidney stones or other related
Urological disorders brought on by infection or contributed
to by degenerative disease, the importance of kidney
cleansing cannot be overstated. Since the body is made
up of almost 80% water the kidneys play an important
role in the daily health of our bodies. The kidneys
and adrenal glands are responsible for cleansing the
blood, producing needed hormones (especially later in
life), regulating blood pressure, and mineral balance
of the body. Keeping the kidneys and adrenals functioning
at there best can help retard degenerative diseases
such as cancer and help prevent future specific problems
of the kidneys and adrenals.
Kidneys
There
are a number of different kidney problems that may occur.
The common bacteria that infest the kidneys and the
urinary tract are Gardnerella, Proteus, Trichomonas,
Campylobacters, E. coli, and Salmonellas. These
pathogens can be transferred from sex partners.
The kidneys may also become damaged by exposure
to certain, drugs, toxins, including heavy metals, solvents,
chemotherapy, snake or insect bites, poisonous mushrooms,
and pesticides. Impaired kidney function may result
from other degenerative disorders such as diabetes,
lupus, hypertension, acidosis, and liver disease. Other
signs that the kidneys may not be working at their best
include water retention (edema), Glomerulonephritis,
an inflammation of the filtering units within the kidneys,
abnormal skin conditions and kidney stones.
Signs
the kidneys may not be functioning properly
·Chills
·Fever
·Urinary urgency
·Frequent urination day or night
·Fluid
retention
·Bloating
·Abdominal pain
·Appetite
loss
·Lower back pain
·Nausea and vomiting
·Cloudy
or bloody urine
·Fatigue
·Pain when urinating
·Leg
Pain
·Shoulder Pain
·Cramping
·Abnormal
skin disorders
Since
the kidneys work to purify the blood, stones, pathogens,
chemicals, and heavy metals can slow down the blood
flow through the kidneys resulting in slowed cleansing
of the blood. Proper blood pressure is important for
forcing the blood through the descending size tubes
in the kidneys during the cleansing process, it is important
to keep these tubes cleared of stones, pathogens, heavy
metals, and crystals (mineral deposits). Stones in
the kidneys can cause the heart to work harder. You
should be aware that not all kidney stones are visible
by X-ray equipment.
These
stones are the perfect place for bacteria, solvents,
heavy metals, and parasites to accumulate. You usually
don’t have kidney stones without also having gallstones,
so both liver and kidney cleansing should be done when
stones are suspected. Sometimes when stones are present,
this means the ratio of phosphorus to calcium is disturbed.
If you are a heavy meat eater, this will cause the phosphorus
level to increase, thus decreasing the calcium level.
Over eating of meat can also lead to Acidosis where
the blood pH becomes to acidic creating extra work for
the kidneys or a condition known as Gout.
If
you have lived a life of low water intake you are doing
your kidneys a great disservice. Increasing your water
intake can help the kidneys tremendously. By in taking
sufficient water, 4oz. every twenty minutes, the body
is able to release more toxins while retaining needed
water for other functions.
Adrenals
The
adrenal glands which are located on top of the kidneys,
like two little hats, can also be effected when pathogens,
heavy metals, chemical poisons, over use of prescription
drugs such as cortisone, and degenerative diseases.

The
adrenal glands are made up of two sections: An inner
part called the medulla and the outer part called the
cortex. The medulla produces stress hormones such as
adrenaline, while the cortex produces more critical
hormones called glucocoriticoids and aldosterone. Aldosterone
and glucocriticoids directly affect blood pressure and
mineral content and help regulate the conversion of
carbohydrates into energy.
Signs
the Adrenals may not be functioning properly
·Weakness
·Lethargy
·Dizziness
·Headache
·Memory
problems
·Food
cravings
·Allergies
·Blood sugar disorders
·Fainting
·Moodiness
·Decrease in amount of body hair
·Over
production of body hair
·Discoloration of skin
·Problems
healing properly
If
the adrenal cortex is under active a rare condition
called Addison’s disease may develop. If the adrenal
cortex is overactive a rare disorder called Cushing’s
syndrome may appear. Both conditions are rare, but can
be treated, but not always cured, with herbs, vitamins
and mineral therapies.
In
conclusion the health of the body greatly relies on
the kidneys and adrenal glands functioning at top levels.
Clearing pathogens, chemicals and mineral deposits can
help bring your kidneys and adrenal glands back to life.
So
what can you do to help the Kidneys and Adrenal Glands?
Some
therapies are designed to help cleanse the organs to
help rid them of pathogens, chemicals, stones, drug
residues, and infection. This method usually involves
a flushing of the organs. These flushes almost always
involve herbs that are known to help flush and draw
out toxins in the kidneys and adrenal glands. Other
treatments are designed around supporting the kidneys
and adrenals through nutritional support.

What
can be expected during Kidney & Adrenal cleansing?
-
Increase
in energy
-
Headaches
-
Excretion
of dark foul smelling urine
-
Lower
back pain
-
Acne
break outs
-
Bad
breath
-
Nausea
-
Mood
swings (usually anger and sadness)
-
Leg
pains
-
Cramping
-
Sore
muscles
Other
symptoms not listed may appear during cleansing as everybody
reacts differently to cleansing. You may experience
more of these detox symptoms if your body contains more
toxins. If your body is extremely toxic you may experience
all these symptoms and others during the cleansing phase.
How
long and how often should I cleanse?
If
you have never been through a kidney/adrenal flush then
6-12 weeks is usually enough to do a thorough job.
If you are highly toxic or have had a history of kidney
and adrenal problems then cleansing may take 12-20 weeks.
It
is a good idea to cleanse the kidneys and adrenal gland
1-2 times a year depending on your diet and what you
drink.
How
can I avoid and help stop kidney and adrenal problems
before they occur?
There
is no guarantee that kidney or adrenal problems won’t
develop. Below are some common sense approaches that
can help reduce the likely hood of developing kidney
or adrenal problems.
1.
Avoid foods high in acid content
2.
Stop or reduce all coffee, soda, and black tea (Lipton®
or other ice tea blends).
3.
Reduce meat consumption
4.
Intake 4oz. of water every twenty minutes
5.
Intake of nutritional support like vitamins minerals,
and herbs
6.
Avoid prolonged exposure to chemicals, drugs, tobacco
and alcohol

Fighting
Urinary Tract Infection
By
Jason Drew
| |
About
two years ago I read about a product offered from Progressive
Labs that was designed to fight Urinary Tract Infections.
My partner and I decided to give it a whirl since one
of our clients was paralyzed from the waste down and had
suffered many urinary tract infections due to constant
catheterization.
We
received a product from Progressive Labs called D-Mannose.
D-Mannose is a naturally occurring simple sugar, closely
related (in chemical terms to a stereo isomer) to glucose.
Within 2 days of use our client’s infection was gone.
I was happy to see him recover in such a short time without
the use of antibiotics.
D-Mannose
is absorbed by our bodies in small amounts through foods
or drinks and is excreted promptly into the urine. A popular
source of D-Mannose is cranberry juice. This juice has
small amounts of D-Mannose and has been recommended by
Urologist for decades to help fight urinary tract infections.
Cranberry juice, however, simply does not have enough
D-Mannose to deliver the knockout punch needed to fight
the infection.
Escherichia
coli (E. coli) bacteria in the urinary tract cause 90%
of all urinary tract infection in the US. This is not
the destructive form of E. coli talked about on the news
but rather a natural occurring form in the body. This
form of E. coli is supposed to remain in the intestines
to provide natural flora. Most tract infections are treated
with antibiotics. As we all know antibiotics not only
kill the bad bacteria but the good as well. This can
leave the body’s natural defenses at a disadvantage.
Enter our simple sugar D-Mannose to mop up and remove
our invading E. coli bacteria. D-Mannose does not actually
kill the E coli but rather creates a situation where the
E. coli bacteria can’t stick to the walls of the urinary
tract allowing for removal when urination occurs. Since
E. coli bacteria have the ability to stick to the tract
walls by way of tiny fingerlike projections D-mannose
literally sticks to the E. coli and actually out sticks
the E. coli causing it to lose its grip on the tract wall.
The
E. coli fingerlike projections which are an amino-acid/sugar
complex, a “glycoprotein” also called “lectin” has the
ability to stick to the walls of the tract lining and
work their way up and sometime even reaching the kidneys.
Fortunately for us the D-Mannose lectins stick to E. coli
lectins better than E. coli lectins stick to us. Again
this allows us to wash out the invading bacteria when
we use significant quantities of D-Mannose.
Antibiotics
verses D-Mannose. For those who have had chronic urinary
infections, the over use of antibiotics can lead to a
disruption in micro flora in the body. For women this
might mean yeast infections that occur often. For both
male and female this may lead to a systemic (all over
the body) infection of candida (yeast) in every part of
the body. Causing coating of the tongue, cravings for
sugar (which feed yeast), white deposits in the corners
of the mouth, fatigue, dizziness and headache. Problems
with bowel behavior will also be affected when micro flora
ratios are disturbed. This can lead to overgrowth of
candida and other forms of harmful bacteria found in the
intestinal tract. Antibiotics have been reported in recent
years to be the cause of new resistant strains of bacteria
that have the ability to go untouched by antibiotics.
This may lead your doctor to prescribe a more powerful
form of antibiotics to combat the infection perpetuating
the problem further.
D-Mannose
on the other hand is a naturally occurring sugar that
has no known harmful effects on the body. It simply removes
E. coli’s hold so it can be washed out with urination.
D-mannose also leaves the good and bad bacteria alive.
D-Mannose is absorbed in the upper gastrointestinal tract
and does not relocate the friendly E. coli found in the
colon. Treatment of urinary tract infection with D-Mannose
is a sound and safe way to treat these infections. The
small amounts of D-Mannose absorbed by our bodies are
harmless. D-Mannose even tastes good so treatment for
children is made easier.
Over
the last two years I have sold D-Mannose to a number of
clients and in each case I have seen chronic infections
cleared up in 1-2 days. I am happy to report not one
of these clients have complained about any side affects
or problems in taking D-Mannose. Some of these clients
take D-Mannose on a regular basis due to paralysis and
constant catheterization.
