Eczema and Psoriasis

By Jason Drew

Many of our clients have asked us about skin disorders especially Eczema and Psoriasis. We decided to write this months article on Eczema and Psoriasis to help the general public understand these skin disorders. We hope this information gives you better understanding into the causes of Eczema and Psoriasis, and provide you with alternatives to traditional oral drugs and prescribed ointments.

Psoriasis and eczema are both caused by Ascaris parasite according to Hulda Clark Ph.D., N.D. Their molting chemicals (chemicals these parasites produce) are very allergenic. Pets are a very common source of infection. For example cats are known carriers of Ascaris parasites and lay Ascaris eggs when they lick their fur. The pet owner then pets their cat not knowing or realizing the infectious nature of the fur. At this point the unaware pet owner then rubs their face or eats a sandwich infecting their self with the parasite eggs. Dogs, horses, cats, pet rodents, ferrets, birds, and reptiles are known carriers of Ascaris parasite. If you have pets it is wise to eliminate parasites in your pets and your self.

Miasms are also responsible for eczema and psoriasis according to Rev. Marcy Foley D.C., N.D. Miasm comes from the Greek word meaning to “taint” or “pollute”. Miasms are disease patterns carried over from two to five generations ago. The disease patterns changes is subsequent generations. In this case it is possible for Syphilis miasm to appear as Psoriasis. Fortunately miasms are easy to clean up. Both conditions can also be aggravated and brought on by stress and lack of nutrition. In other words all the chemicals for a fire are already present in the body and a stressful day or incident might be all that is needed to set off the flames of eczema or psoriasis outbreaks. Both eczema and psoriasis indicate an off balance body pH. With both of these diseases it is certain that body pH has become to acidic.

Other contributing factors to psoriasis and eczema are as follows:

• Parasite infection
• Acidic body pH
• Toxic bowels
• Mercury poisoning (usually from dental fillings)
• Toxic metal poisoning
• Chemical and solvent in the body
• Toxic kidneys
• Toxic liver
• Bad diet

Symptoms and other factors of eczema and psoriasis

Eczema – Sometimes referred to as Dermatitis this is an inflamation of the skin that produces scaling, flaking, thickening, color changes, and, often itching. Some times the skin may also develop fluid filled blisters that ooze and crust over. Itching can be due to allergies, impaired liver function or over exposure to chemicals or sunlight. Perfumes, cosmetics, medicated creams, heavy metals such as gold, tin and silver may be linked to eczema outbreaks. Chemicals in soaps and lotions may also be linked to outbreaks of eczema. Some with eczema are sensitive to sunlight. Chronic stress and tension can cause and lead to the spreading of eczema.

Psoriasis – Psoriasis appears as patches of silvery scales or red areas on the legs, knees, arms, elbows, scalp, ears, and back. The overly rapid growth of skin cells is the primary cause of lesions associated with psoriasis. In some cases skin cells grow four times faster than normal. Toenails and fingernails can lose their luster and develop ridges and pits. Psoriasis often follows patterns of flare ups then remission. This disease usually starts in the teenage years but has been reported with infants. Tension, stress, illness, alcohol and drug abuse, cuts, injuries, bacteria, viruses and poison ivy are also known culprits that can contribute to the on set of this disease

Natural treatments for eczema and psoriasis are becoming more popular. Many of our clients have reported improvements and remission with the completion of cleansing programs diet changes and proper supplementation.

Cleansing Programs cleansing programs by far have the most profound effects on eczema and psoriasis. Simply removing toxins that contribute to these skin disorders do more for the skin and internal organs than you may realize. Some of the suggested clean-up programs are listed below.

Teas Teas of dandelion, goldenseal, myrrh, pau d’ arco, and red clover can be consumed daily. Alternate these teas for best results.

Itch Relief For relief of itching and promoting healing of psoriasis or eczema mix together goldenseal root powder with vitamin E oil, then add a little honey until it becomes a consistent loose paste. Apply this mixture to the affected areas and leave on for at least an hour then repeat the process when itching is a problem or several times daily.

Dietary Considerations Eat a diet that is composed of 50 percent raw foods and include plenty of fruits, grains (avoid grains that contain gluten), and vegetables. Fish may be eaten while healing from eczema and psoriasis. Avoid gluten in your diet. A gluten free diet is often very beneficial in treating eczema and psoriasis. Add brown rice and millet to your diet. Be sure to include plenty of fiber in your diet such as psyllium husks or apple pectin. Avoid dairy products, eggs, red meat, sugar, white flour, saturated fats, fried foods, and processed foods.

Children For infant children with psoriasis make up a gallon of chickweed tea and bath the child several times daily until psoriasis clears up. Make sure your child is getting plenty of B complex vitamins, Vitamin E (on the skin or internally), Vitamin C and zinc in their diet.
