Pap: Recently, the John Hopkins School of Hygiene and Public Health verified the connection between Human Papillomavirus (HPV) infection and cervical cancer in women. Researchers examined tumors from 1,000 cervical cancer patients from around the world and found 93% had an HPV virus footprint. One of the lead researchers, Dr. Michele Manos, found that HPV also has a direct link to anal cancer and about half the rare cases of penile cancer.
